Clau de Nell is a biodynamic estate in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley, famously revitalized in 2008 by the late Anne-Claude Leflaive of Burgundy’s iconic Domaine Leflaive. The property is renowned for its ancient vines—some over 100 years old—planted on "tuffeau" limestone and clay soils that produce exceptionally pure expressions of Grolleau, Cabernet Franc, and Chenin Blanc. Under the guidance of manager Sylvain Potin, the winery focuses on minimal intervention and Demeter-certified practices to create wines known for their elegance, transparency, and deep sense of place.
