Clarisse de Suremain is a new-wave Burgundian winemaker who transitioned from a career as a professional pianist to her family's winemaking heritage. Inspired by her biodynamic-pioneering uncle, Eric de Suremain, and working with respected organic growers, she began her own independent label in 2017. Suremain follows a low-intervention philosophy in the cellar, creating wines with impressive purity and precision that prioritize elegance and transparency. Her approach is a testament to the new generation of growers who focus on honest, terroir-driven expressions.
The Coteaux Bourguignons "Les Noces" is sourced from 40-year-old Pinot Noir and Gamay vines grown on clay and limestone soils. The grapes come from parcels in the lower parts of Pommard and Volnay, which Suremain initially acquired in 2019.
