Champagne Petit & Bajan is an elite "grower" house born from the 2008 union of two historic families in Aavize and Verzenay. Led by Richard Petit and Véronique Bajan—and mentored by the legendary Anselme Selosse—the estate operates out of a storied facility in Avize that dates back to 1702. Their 'Promise' Grand Cru Brut is a high-precision blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, sourced exclusively from their 7.5 acres of Grand Cru vineyards. While the broader Champagne market has faced recent volatility, this cuvée has seen consistent price growth and remains a darling of collectors due to its extremely limited production, with some annual releases totaling as few as 1,500 bottles for the entire U.S. market.

The winemaking philosophy for 'Promise' emphasizes extreme ripeness and terroir transparency, often harvesting weeks after their neighbors to ensure maximum fruit depth. With a refined, low dosage of 3–4 g/L, the resulting Champagne is "chiselled" and pure, offering a sophisticated Grand Cru experience typically reserved for bottles at much higher price points. This artisanal approach, combined with its rare "grower" status, makes it a premier choice for those seeking small-batch excellence over mass-produced labels.
