Rossese di Dolceacqua was the first region in Liguria to achieve DOC status and rightfully so. Its sunny disposition and inherently Mediterranean character are typical of these picturesque coastal wines. Crunchy red and black fruits dominate the aromatics with hints of dried rosemary and baking spices peppered in for good measure. The acidity has a youthful energy, effortlessly carrying its medium juicy/slightly silky body before finishing with a fruity-peppery-slightly floral charm over its mild dusty tannins. Bright enough to be enjoyed on its own yet structured for endless food pairing possibilities.
