Since its inception in 2000, winemaker Cédric Bouchard and his domaine Roses de Jeanne had the foresight to embrace terroir-driven expressions of Champagne. Bouchard’s impact was immediate, and soon many began to join him in his philosophy of single vineyard, single variety, single vintage, and zero dosage Champagne.
The only chardonnay champagne made by Cédric; this comes from a minute 0.11 ha plot from five different massal selections planted in 2002 on a south-facing slope in Celles-sur-Ource. Ripe, dense and tightly wound.
