About The Producer:
Ploder-Rosenberg is a family estate, located in Vulkanland Steiermark. It spans over 11 hectares (27 acres) of vineyards. With Manuel Ploder, the winery is now in its third generation, but the real pivot happened in 2005 when the family converted to biodynamic farming and started to focus on PiWi (fungus resistant) varieties. Today, 70 to 75 percent of their vineyards are planted with PiWis, with Souvignier Gris being the primary grape
Flor Impressions:
The ‘Vivas’ cuvée highlights the winery’s aromatic varietals and, as advertised, they seem to leap from the bottle as soon as the cork is pulled. Highly enticing floral notes
compete with ripe orchard fruit notes for your attention. The palate is lean and delicate with a light, mineral-forward body that charges towards a dry, citrusy and salty finish. Its
refreshing nature makes it a perfect summer wine. Enjoy with creamy cheeses, spicy shrimp or grilled vegetables.
