About The Producer:
Owners and winemakers Francesco Cucurullo and his sister Carolina both have law degrees, but have found themselves far from the courtroom, producing amazing cuvees on the island of Sicily. They come from a long line of Sicilian farmers and recently have fallen back in love with the vine. In addition to producing wine, the brother and sister team also produce small batch wheat, olive oil, peaches, and apricots.
An island sparkler that will be a perfect addition to any fall appetizers. Made from 100% Nero d'Avola, aromas of yellow cherry, yeasty grapefruit peels, and basalt hover above a subtle note of bacon fat. The palate is greeted by coarse bubbles with balanced acidity that leads towards a dry and slightly refreshing finish with lasting impressions of cherry and pomegranate. This cuvee doesn’t need food to be enjoyed but wouldn’t mind a beautiful autumn salad with roasted pepitas, alternatively try with sashimi.
