Established in 1964, the Hébrart domaine has built a reputation as one of the finest producers in the Grand Vallée. Jean-Paul Hébrart has been the head winemaker since taking over for his father in the mid-1990’s and has shifted the focus of the estate to highlighting the individual parcels of old vines located in the estate owned vineyards within the Grand Cru sites in Aÿ, Avize, Chouilly and Oiry as well as their holding in the Premier Cru’s Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Avenay, Val d’Or and Bisseuil. Each of these parcels are vinified separately in order to understand what each site’s particular vintage has to say. These are champagnes of great consistency and quality.
Previous vintage notes from Vinous Media:
"The 2015 Extra Brut Noces de Craie is fabulous. Rich, powerful and explosive, the 2015 exudes Pinot intensity, with layers of chalky, saline notes that run through a deep core of fruit. This is a decidedly virile style. The 2015 finishes with tremendous vinosity and all of the textural resonance that is typical of Champagnes from Aÿ."
