Luis has slowly accumulated almost 6 hectares comprised of nearly 180 micro-parcels, most replanted by Luis using either seleccion massale or grafting onto old Palomino rootstock, and located on the southwestfacing, granitic hillsides of his hometown of Arnoia. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eThis wine is produced from a field blend of the lowest yielding old vines planted on steep south-facing granite hillsides in Arnoia. \u003cem\u003eEscolma\u003c\/em\u003e means “selection” in Gallego.  This top cuvée is only produced in excellent vintages.
