Thanks to their expressive, terroir-driven wines, Le Coste’s star has been rising in the past few years. While there are other well-made, biodynamic natural wines hailing from Lazio, Le Coste’s wines are remarkably transparent with high toned, polished fruit and a mineral profile. Their 2018 continues this tradition with ripe red raspberries, strawberry compote, and rhubarb aromas lingering over hints of dried rosemary, rose water, and white pepper. The acidity is lively and softened by a mineral-rich, silky-juicy texture with a slight touch of tannins with a fruity, briny, and slightly peppery finish. Best served with a slight chill.
