Notes from Table Wine:
"José Luis Ripa Sáenz de Navarrete has seen the ins and outs of Rioja and knows its wine making history like no one else, having worked for many years with some of the most reputable houses in the region (full disclosure, he is married to Maria Jose Lopez de Heredia). Less than 350 cases were produced, and this is a wild ride of a rose. It's nutty, savory, and quite unique.....unlike anything else out there....except Lopez Herdia's famed rose.
“85% Grenache and 15% Tempranillo grapes from two 30+-year-old vines, bush-pruned, and located in Rioja Alta, where the soils are of calcareous clay type and have a slightly higher iron percentage than the rest of the district." - José Luis"
