Notes from the producer:

"Handed down through several generations, this family estate is surrounded by vineyards and overlooks the famous village of Verdigny. This unique location offers stunning views of the famous Sancerre hill. Today Jean-Marie Reverdy manages the flourishing Domaine de la Villaudiere with his wife, Catherine and their son, Guillaume. The youngest son, Baptiste also shares a love of wine. Once he has finished his studies, he intends to play his part in the family business.

Spread across 68 plots, our vines are 40 years old on average. With a mainly southeast exposure, the ripening process takes place slowly here. Grown sustainably for more than 20 years, each year we try to evolve our growing techniques. Our white Sancerre’s typicity is due to the blend of the two main Sancerre terroirs. Firstly, the great clay-limestone slopes called “Terres Blanches” by the locals, which deliver more complex, structured and round wines due to the clay."
