A dedicated practitioner of biodynamic viticulture, Paolo Francesconi crafts precise and transparent wines that reflect the vineyard’s mineral rich composition. Though not as familiar as Trebbiano, Verdicchio or Pinot Grigio; Albana has the distinction of being the first Italian white wine to achieve DOC status. The ‘Vite in Fiore’ is proper introduction to the inexperienced, as it wonderfully showcases Albana’s delicate dance. Elegant notes of golden apples, pear purée, lemongrass, chrysanthemums, and hazelnuts greet you on the nose. The acidity is graceful and unveils a soft minerality over a light-silky textured body that descends gently towards a refreshing, slightly floral, and savory finish.
