Cristina Geminiani graduated with a degree in agronomy from the University of Milan and later trained at the University of Bordeaux. In 1987 she took the reins of the family estate, Zerbina, named after the southerly wind that blows through the valley of Marzeno. From multiple clones of albarello (bush-trained) sangiovese. Aromas of cherry, dried cranberry, rose petal, wild mint, and dried mushroom. The palate is broad with fruit, and balanced tannin, good clip of acidity too.
Fermented and aged 7-8 months in stainless steel tanks.
