This killer white is 100% Grenache Gris (yes, like pinot, grenache comes in different colors). Grown on schist soils between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees. Fermented in steel, aged in barrel for 5 months. The wine is open knit with lovely texture and then bright acidity. Notes of pears, flowers, and spice. There is huge length and complexity crammed into the bottle!
Additional Notes from Terrisson Selections:
"Domaine Riere Cadene is a family winery nested between the Mediterranean Sea and Pyrenees Moutains, in a Region called Roussillon. Since 1904, from father to son, they have used the same traditional skills to preserve their precious understanding of the wine. They are committed to producing high quality wine that reflects their great Terroir in a sustainable way. Here many years ago, a family of winegrowers began cultivating two exceptionally distinctive terroirs, with the accent on freshness, elegance, and attention to detail and the story never ended."
