In the Jaume family, generations have perpetuated the winegrowing profession since Mathieu JAUME decided to cultivate vines in Chateauneuf Du Pape in 1826. They were succeeded by Marius, Fernand and Roger. 

In 1979, Odile and Alain JAUME continued the family tradition with the creation of Domaine Grand Veneur. At the outset, the vineyard covered 9 hectares. The cellars were built just outside Orange on the road to Châteauneuf du Pape.
