Notes from Terres des Templiers:
"Terres des Templiers is a vineyard, a cellar, but above all, men and women who for centuries have perpetuated their passion and passed on strong values from generation to generation. Growing on pure schist soil, swept by the Tramontane wind under the scorching sun of southern France, the vines are well-earned. The steep slopes of the Pyrenees foothills have required exclusively manual work in the vineyard for centuries. Every stage of vine maintenance, from the construction of the low walls to the harvest, is carried out by hand and on human backs.
The Banyuls Grand Cru Protected Designation of Origin produces vintages made from a very strict selection of grapes from our best plots. The only natural sweet wine appellation in the world to benefit from the "Grand Cru" label , the aging lasts between 7 and 10 years in very old oak tuns or barrels. Sometimes exposed to the harsh sun in their oak containers, they develop a character and an extraordinary aromatic richness."
