Along with 'Clos Saint-Jacques' in Gevrey-Chambertin, 'Les Amoureuses' is Grand Cru level wine without the label. It is one of the most highly regarded Premier Cru sites in all of Burgundy, and justifiably so. 'Les Amoureuses' displays an intense delicacy that counters the muscularity of Bonnes-Mares and Le Musigny Grand Crus. In the hands of the highly technical and philosophical Mugnier, more than a wine, this is an experience.
