Ségalin is an extremely rare native grape of the Cahors region in the Southwest of France. This is meant to be consumed young as it's vinified much like a rosé; picked early, pressed directly and vinified at low temperature in tank. The final blend is 70% Ségalin and 30% Malbec.
After being chef-winemaker at Chateau Vignouroux in Cahors, Benoit Aymard took ove the 15 hectare family vineyard from his grandfather in Lacapelle-Cabanac in 2014 and started the organic conversion.
