This was a revelation, and a producer that we are keeping a close eye on. Aromas of crisp green apples, white flowers and lime zest evolve from the glass. The texture steals the show, displaying a mineral-forward juicy-silky texture that rides a wave of mouth-watering acidity. The finish is lengthy, crisp and salty with hints of almond blossoms and citrus peel. Outstanding!

The Calogero Caruana farm is located above the Torre Salsa Reserve, in the province of Agrigento (Sicily), less than 2 km from the sea. Calogero is one of the new vignerons that you should get to know in order to really understand the fire that burns inside the new generation of natural winemakers. Having grown professionally with Maestro Stefano Amerighi, Calogero has now returned to his homeland of Sicily in order to dedicate his body and soul to his new winery. Fermentation is spontaneous from native yeast and the interventions in the cellar are minimal and essential, so that the fermentation and refinements take place in the best possible way.
