Buondonno’s Perhaps nothing excites us as wine buyers quite like sampling a wine that stands out from the day’s tastings and ends up being significantly less than what we imagined the price to be. Toscana Rosso was one such wine. Incredibly generous aromatically with black cherries, plum, nasturtium, and leather hovering over background notes of eucalyptus, cigar box, and dried herbs. Fresh acidity permeates a juicy, medium body that leads to a dusty tannic touch with an herbal, peppery slightly smoky finish. Remarkably balanced with an imbalanced price point.
