An unfiltered, unfined Pinot Noir that stands up to aging; five years later and this vintage is drinking fantastically. Fresh berry notes dance their way out of glass followed by red cherry, raspberry, and vivacious hibiscus. On the palette acidity mingles with a plush lean texture leading to an earthy finish with subtle mushroom notes and a light tannic touch. This lean cuvee can be enjoyed with a variety of cheeses, or a lamb chop set with wild mushrooms.
The project was started in 2012, with the first vintage being 2013. The project is named after winemaker William Van Dyke’s grandfather Robert “Bud” Van Dyke who was the first generation of Oregon farmers. William spent time in New Zealand at Ata Rangi learning vinification. Although the time he spent their was invaluable, he wanted to come back to Oregon, eager to start a project of his own; so creating Bud’s Bloom Wines.
