Notes from Pompette Online:
"Fabrizio Borgogno and Stefano Carbone are best friends and two key figures in the Langhe wine culture. Together they run an import company that supplies the whole of Piedmont with France's best producers, which is an important function in renewing and opening up perspectives in an extremely traditional wine region. To top it off, the duo also owns one of the Langhe's absolute best restaurants, More & Macine in La Morra, which is a pub where the area's most brilliant producers meet to expand their wine views and talk shit over a magical plate of agnolotti del plin. Frabrizio and Stefanos Langhe Nebbiolo is a direct result of their innovative drive and is a red-fruited explosion that eases the transition from late summer to autumn.
When Fabrizio and Stefano came up with the brilliant idea of making wine together, everything fell naturally as Fabrizio's family owned vineyards in the area for generations. The family's vineyard consists of 30-year-old logs in Verduno, which we rank as one of Barolo's absolute top villages. The whole operation is run by Fabrizio and Stefano with families and the hard work in the vineyard is done entirely by hand. Normally this wine can only be drunk at Fabrizio and Stefano's restaurant, but after sharing a few plates of pasta and too many pavor wines, we managed to persuade the duo to release a limited number of bottles to the Swedish public."
