Notes from Becky Wasserman & Co.:

"Since 1990, Benoit Moreau worked with his father and brother at the family domaine in Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Bernard Moreau & Fils. After several years as the vineyard manager, he decided to create his own domaine, combining his share of the family vineyards with some new acquisitions in the Beaujolais."

William Kelley (Wine Advocate)

"The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Grandes Ruchottes is another brilliant wine from Moreau. Wafting from the glass with notes of green orchard fruit, peach and mandarin oil, mingled with hints of white flowers, toasted nuts and a deft touch of reduction, it's full-bodied, satiny and crystalline, with a deep core of fruit, racy acids, chalky extract and a long, electric finish. It's derived from very old vines (plus a couple of rows of younger vines)."
