Pristine notes of red cherries, raspberries, hibiscus and mountain herbs leap from the glass. The palate is silky and juicy, with a lively acidity that easily sways the wine towards a whisper of smooth tannins. The finish is fruity, surprisingly spicy and unexpectedly lengthy. Truly unique and best enjoyed with a slight chill.

About The Producer: Naboso is run by couple Nadja Peltzer and Andrej Miklušičák in Bratislava, Slovakia. Andrej has been making wine for about a decade, while also working at a wine bar in Copenhagen. The farming is organic and all of the wines are spontaneously fermented, aged using neutral oak and/or acacia barrels. There is no mechanical stressing. Winemaker Matteo Furlani subverts the standard heavy extraction of industrial reds by treating Schiava with a brief, feather-light 4-to-5-day skin maceration. This specific vinification choice yields an ultra-pale, translucent ruby color profile that visually straddles the line between a structured dark rosé and a hyper-delicate alpine red, prioritizing a vibrant, fluid energy over density.

Structurally, the 2024 vintage showcases pure varietal typicity driven by intense alpine conditions, delivering a palate that is low in tannin, light-bodied, and defined by a puckering, water-to-wine drinkability.
