About the producer:

The Marchionni family has been farming in the inland, high elevation subzone of Matelica since the 1960s. In 1978, they were able to purchase a single hillside vineyard known as "Collestefano," and thus became grape farmers. Twenty years later, when Fabio Marchionni, son of the founders, graduated from oenological school and bottled his own wine under the name Collestefano, the estate was born. More than twenty years after their first vintage, the Marchionni family has remained dedicated to organic viticulture and have come to produce some of the finest examples of Verdicchio in this distinctive subregion.

Flor Impressions:

This is our favorite Verdicchio for spring as it pairs so effortlessly with this season's veggies. Pristine notes of golden apples, bosc pear, white flowers, wet stones and sea breeze. The palate is juicy with a mineral-forward lean texture that leans into a crisp floral and slightly herbal and refreshing finish with a touch of salinity.
